Hello everyone, and welcome to the Tropic Thunder Fan Club. This club was set up specifically to show off the art/writing/anything else of fans of this summer's awesome comedy Tropic Thunder. Before I get down to the nitty-gritty, I'd like to familiarize you with the movie itself.

Tropic Thunder stars Ben Stiller, Robert Downey Jr. and Jack Black, and costars Tom Cruise and Nick Nolte. It takes place in the present day, set in the jungles of Vietnam. The plot revolves around four actors, set out to make the 'best war movie ever!', which is based on a book by a Vietnam war veteran. Instead of making a movie, they end up trying to escape with their lives after running in with Vietnamese drug lords. What happens in the end? They end up making the best war movie ever!



Now...for the nitty gritty!

We got some pretty simple rules, so if you're planning on joining, please take a few moments to read over these sections:

Rules For Joining

Since this club is dedicated to the movie itself, and not the actors who play in it, we ask that you have at least watched the film once before joining. That way you will be better affiliated with the material that will be posted here.
We understand that this film contains a lot of material that has caused a stir in certain social groups. We here will not encourage the bashing/demeaning of said groups in any way possible. This club was made solely for the enjoyment that the movie brings us.
Simply send a note to us entitled 'join' and we will add you to the member list. We discourage asking for membership on the front page, as we may not always see it.
Once you have been added, please put our devname or icon ( : devTropicThunderFanClub : or : iconTropicThunderFanClub :, without the spaces) in your journal or signature so we know you are part of the club. We also encourage you to watch us for any new updates or art that we put up. Please note that even though you are watching us we may not always watch you back.



What Is Allowed

Any art/writing/etc. of Tropic Thunder is permitted, with some exceptions (see next section).
Slash is permitted, as long as it is in good taste.
Suggestions for the club avatar, webcam and desktop are allowed.
Any suggestions about any other portion of the club are also permitted. Just be nice about it.


What Is NOT Allowed

Any sexually explicit, demeaning or otherwise offensive material is not allowed on here.
Pictures of the actors without TT garb are not allowed. For example, if you were to submit a plain old portrait of Ben Stiller and he's not dressed up like Tugg Speedman, then we will reject it. This club is dedicated to the movie and its characters, not the actors themselves.
Screencaps are NOT allowed. Photomanipulations are permitted though.

General Rules Regarding This Club

If you like a certain piece that is put up on here, please favorite it at its original place. DO NOT FAVE IT HERE! We cannot stress this enough!
Any rude comments or flagrant disregard of guidelines on here will not be tolerated. Continuous negative behavior will be reported to the administration.
Any questions or concerns can be directed to the club's administrators, ~emostrap39 and *KittyBlues. Please send your questions/concerns in a note; DO NOT leave them on the front page!
We can at any time, without warning, suspend your membership from this club if we find that you have flagrantly broken the rules regarding membership, etiquette or decency. We do not tolerate bad behavior.
